Roland® Wild Rice is grown in the old glacial lakes of Northern Minnesota. Its dark brown color makes for striking dishes - try it on its own, or blended with other rice varieties for a blended effect. Its woody, nutty flavor is just as lovely paired with rich stews as it is showcased in light summer salads.
Preparation and Cooking Suggestions
Stir rice into boiling water (one part rice to three parts water) and boil for five minutes. Remove from heat and allow to stand for one hour (if adding complements, keep simmering, covered, until kernels are open and tender, then add complements). Drain rice and cook as directed in recipe. Enjoy!
